The Tower Over London

Life has been pretty hectic recently and I’ve been really feeling the strain so as my other was planning a trip to an exhibition in London last week I decided to use it as an excuse for a few days away. We went to the exhibition on Tuesday morning so we had the rest of the day free to enjoy ourselves and decided to take a trip to Tower Brige. My other half used to live in London and when we first met we lived just outside London and spent a large amount of our time in the city however we rarely took advantage of the abundance of tourist attractions.
In advance of our trip we actually exchanged some of our Tesco clubcard vouchers for days out vouchers so our trip was free but the normal on the gate cost is £9 per adult, so quite reasonable for a central London attraction.
Upon arrival we were advised to join a queue and wait for a lift however the queue was pretty big so it was suggested that if we wanted we could take the stairs instead which we did. Personally I think this was nicer, we were able to see all through the inside of the towers and it also gave us chance for a bit of workout.
The exhibition is very informative with lots of information about the bridge and other bridges around the world. The real attraction is the glass walkways which gives a unique view of the bridge from 42metres above the river.
The walkways also offer the chance to see some fantastic views of the city. We were able to walk down both walkways so we were able to see the views on both side which was great but I’m not sure this is normally possible.
If you are looking for something different to do in London I would definitely recommend a trip toTower Bridge. It doesn’t offer the best value for money as it is £9 and adult and only takes an hour or so but it is a great experience and the views are amazing.
